SUCCESS IS A DESTINATION . . .

ROCKWALL ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
“Building Rockwall”

SPR Packaging, LLC recently commenced construction on their new 58,000 square foot headquarters and manufacturing building on Industrial Boulevard, one-half mile north of Interstate 30 in Rockwall. This site is at the northwest corner of Industrial Boulevard and Justin Road extension. Phase I of the facility will house production, warehouse and administrative office functions for SPR Packaging LLC.

SPR Packaging will produce food-grade flexible plastic
packaging. Operations are expected to start during Fall 2007. Phase I will begin with 50 employees and will operate 24/7.

“We considered several other communities in the Dallas–Ft. Worth Metroplex for our new plant location. At the end of the day, Rockwall offered the best combination of features necessary for a successful world class manufacturing facility. We look forward to beginning operations this year,” said Steven P. Rosenberg, President of SPR Packaging.

Phase I of the SPR Packaging development is expected to bring $13.8 million in new investment to Rockwall. Future phases are expected to add about $38 million.

“The REDC is excited about having SPR Packaging as part of our business community, and we are committed to helping them grow and expand their organization here”, said Sheri Franza, REDC President and CEO. The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation worked with SPR Packaging in selecting its new location in Rockwall.”

ROCKWALL ENTHUSIASM CONTINUES

It’s been eight months since Sheri Franza assumed the position of President and CEO of the REDC. “I can honestly tell you that if you think Texas is great, you’re absolutely right. But Rockwall is even better, Franza said. She went on to say, “One of the things I noticed when I moved here (over 30 years ago) – and is still true today – is that Rockwall is still a small city with a tremendous amount of growth potential. Even though we are the smallest county in Texas, we are the third fastest growing county in the nation. When you look at the City of Rockwall and the projected growth, it is very exciting and our future is bright.
