The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation (REDC), formed for the purpose of seeking out new economic opportunities, creating and retaining jobs for Rockwall citizens, and diversifying our local tax base, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolyn Jackson and Mike Lucas to its Board of Directors.
“We are honored to have some of the area’s best leadership and change agents make this kind of commitment to the REDC,” said Sheri Franza, President and CEO, REDC. “The insight, wisdom and leadership of these new members and our new chair, John Floeter, will continue to add to the Board’s collective strength and work to further the REDC’s mission.”
Jackson is the CEO of Lake Pointe Health Network. Lake Pointe Health Network includes the 112 bed acute care hospital Lake Pointe Medical Center as well as six outpatient clinics (Lake Pointe Imaging Center – Rockwall, Lake Pointe Imaging Center – Forney, Lake Pointe Urgent Care Center – Rockwall, Lake Pointe Wound Care Center – Rowlett, Lake Pointe Sleep Lab – Rockwall, Lake Pointe Sleep Lab – Rowlett). Prior to her appointment as CEO, Jackson served as COO for Lake Pointe Health Network and as an Associate with Tenet Healthcare. Jackson also serves on the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as the Healthcare Committee Chair for Rockwall ISD Business and Education Counsel. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She earned her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from University of Delaware, and Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Jackson is a four time recipient of Tenet’s Circle of Excellence award for excellent hospital performance.
“Carolyn is a familiar face in the Rockwall business community. As the CEO of our Lake Pointe Health Network, Carolyn has a proven track record of leading a successful organization and we look forward to her continued contribution as part of the leadership of the REDC,” said Franza.
Lucas is the Owner/Principal of Aqua Terra Engineering Consultants, LLC, and (ATEC). ATEC is a professional civil engineering company providing comprehensive water resources and surface water management services strategically focused in the areas of floodplain management, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology. Prior to forming ATEC, Lucas was Senior Hydrologist/Project Manager for O’Brien Engineering, and served as Engineered Products Specialist for CONTECH Construction Products. Lucas is a current member and former president of the Board for the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and American Council of Engineering Companies. Lucas received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
"Mike’s leadership role in various positions within the Rockwall business community and tremendous work experience will be a valuable asset to our Board," said Franza.
